I try and keep my photography very natural, snapping the action as it happens and not too much posing. This makes things more relaxed and will also make the session more enjoyable. I can direct as much or as little as you like - I understand it can be a little daunting having someone take your photo so want to keep things as relaxed as possible. 

Most sessions take place in one location - either in your family home, in a park or at my home studio in Bromsgrove. 

For family shoots I'm happy to work around any time to suit you and your family.  Most family/baby toddler shoots take place in the morning as children can be at their best after a good nights sleep and the lighting is much better. 

I'll get in touch a couple of days before the shoot (after consulting the weather forecast) and if it looks like rain we can either reschedule for another convenient date, try our luck for the day or change to an indoor location. 

Yes if you wish. I can spend some time taking relaxed portraits of you together as a family, as this can be an important record for you too. I do spend more time letting the action happen naturally and capturing the moments as they unfold.

I can share with you the colour and black and white versions within the gallery if you'd like the choice. You will just need to let me know this in advance as creating both versions will take a little longer edit wise. 

Do not worry, I am happy to reschedule if this happens, I just ask that you let me know as soon as possible.

Exactly what you like – you all want to look and feel like yourselves. Avoiding logos and stripes is preferable. Layering works really well for creating different looks and a change of outfit can be a good idea for very little ones. Neutral colours work really well too. 

I will bring along some props (Picnic blanket, bubble machine etc) but it's great if you can bring along some of your child's favourite toys, games, balls, kites – anything that you enjoy doing together as a family. Snacks are also a good idea for flagging energy levels.

14 days after the shoot your edited images will be available for viewing in a private online gallery where you can look through your images and decide on how many you would like to order. Once you have informed me of the images you would like to purchase I will send the high res versions to you via We Transfer. 

Your online gallery will be open for 14 days, giving you plenty of time to decide which images you'd like to purchase.

Just get in contact and we can find a suitable date. A £50 deposit and a signed contract is required on booking to secure the session date. (£250 deposit for wedding bookings)
